Corporate Campus Parking Automation

The challenge
A large technology campus with thousands of daily commuters faced chronic congestion between 8:30–10:30 AM and 5:30–7:30 PM. Security teams used paper registers for visitors while employees carried multiple RFID tags that frequently failed or were shared.
- No unified view of which vehicles belonged on campus versus ad-hoc entries
- Visitor approvals were manual, slow, and hard to audit
- Facilities could not answer “how full are we?” in real time
- Duplicate and shared access cards created security gaps
Our approach
We deployed multi-lane ANPR with rules engine integration: employee plates synced from HR systems (batch + API), visitor passes issued via web forms with QR validation at the gate, and overflow routing to secondary lanes during peaks.
Components delivered
- Two primary IN lanes and one OUT lane with plate-linked barrier logic
- Visitor pre-registration portal for hosts with time-bound access windows
- Security console with search-by-plate, photo evidence, and manual override with reason codes
- Occupancy dashboard by zone and building cluster
- Weekly exports for facilities planning and compliance audits
Results & impact
- Measurable reduction in average gate wait time during morning peak (client-reported)
- Automated access for registered staff without stopping for card taps
- Visitor logs retained with host name, vehicle plate, and timestamps
- Facilities team uses occupancy trends to plan shuttles and bay allocation
